What The Job Involves

A CV joint fails when its boot splits: the grease escapes, road grit gets in, and the joint wears out. Caught early, it is a boot. Left alone, it is an axle.

We inspect boots and joints on every vehicle that comes in for suspension or brake work, because a torn boot is easy to see and cheap to fix at that stage.
