What The Job Involves
Belts and hoses are cheap to replace on a schedule and expensive to replace at the side of the road. A snapped serpentine belt takes the alternator, water pump and power steering with it in one go.
We check for glazing, cracking, fraying and soft spots, and we look at the tensioner and idler pulleys at the same time — a belt that keeps failing is usually a tensioner problem.
